Chalet Kabana is a splendid cottage with a contemporary design, located 5 minutes from the village of Ste-Émélie de l’Énergie, just 75 minutes from Montreal.  This two-storey cottage has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people very comfortably. It is equipped with a hot tub and outdoor dry sauna (available all year round). It has a private access to the ecological Lake Beaudoin and includes 2 kayaks, 1 canoe and 1 pedal boat (provided from May to October). This cottage has a stunning panoramic view of the lake with incredible views of the surrounding nature. Chalet Kabana is located on a 53,000 sq. ft. wooded lot which makes it a very peaceful place. Wi-Fi is included.

The Chalet Kabana has electric baseboard heating and is protected by an alarm system connected to the central and a camera system at the entrance. It is strongly recommended that you get to the chalet with a 4-wheel drive vehicle in winter, because even if the chalet is always very well plowed, its access path is sloping and can cause inconvenience.

  • Upstairs

    The entrance of the cottage is upstairs. Inside the cottage, you will find a cloakroom in the entrance and a large modern & all equipped kitchen (including dish washer, coffee maker & Nespresso Original line coffee machine, kids dishes, etc…).  The dining room displays a large table for 6 persons facing a 10 feet high bay window with stunning views of the lake. A side door gives you access to the 3-seasons veranda with a dining area for 6 guests & a functional year round gas BBQ.  Next to the kitchen, you will find a full bathroom with bath/rain shower and a beautiful closed bedroom with Queen size bed & canopy, overlooking the lake. All bedding is pure cotton and hypoallergenic synthetic duvet.

    The chalet is heated by electric baseboards. Washer/dryer and a vacuum cleaner is on site.  An excellent 3G/4G cellular network is provided in the area for cell phone coverage.

    Chalet Kabana is protected by an alarm system and is connected to a central monitoring station, with a camera system at the entrance. It is strongly recommended to get to the chalet with a AWD vehicle in Winter, because although the chalet is very well cleared of snow and accessible at all times in Winter, its access path is sloping.

    Downstairs, at garden level, the second bedroom is equipped with a Queen size bed and the spacious living room offers a full view of the lake. All bedding is pure cotton and hypoallergenic synthetic duvet.

    You will find a convertible sofa bed (double size) and 2 comfortable chairs, HD TV, Bell Express VU and a few board games, sound system with Bluetooth connection, free WiFi and an electric fireplace. This set up is ideal for families with children. Every room offers a spectacular view of the surrounding nature.

  • Exterior layout

    The large terrace at the garden level has a built-in spa with 5 places (accessible year round). A 3-season veranda, protected by mosquito nets, serves as an outdoor dining area for 6 people during summer. A propane gas BBQ is accessible and functional year round.

    Accessible by a staircase (not cleared of snow in winter due to the steep slope of the land), you access the lake below the chalet and a large private dock with chairs to relax, 2 kayaks, 1 pedal boat and 4 life jackets for adults (accessible from May to October). An outdoor fire place (with firewood provided, bring your newspaper & kindling wood) is set up near the lake and accessible 3 seasons (also not cleared of snow in winter due to the steep slope of the land).

    The outdoor parking can accommodate up to 4 cars. It is strongly recommended that you get to the chalet with a 4-wheel drive vehicle in winter, because even if the chalet is always accessible in Winter, its access path is sloping and can cause inconvenience.

Booking Policy
  1. Base rate and additional fees:
    1. The base rate is for 4 people or less (additional fee of $50 per night per add person in low season or $100 per night per add person in high season).
    2. A cleaning fee of $150 applies for all rentals.
    3. We accept pets (maximum of 2 pets per rental) but an additional fee of $ 100 per pet applies for the hypoallergenic cleaning upon departure.
  2. Minimum stay:
    1. A minimum of 2 nights applies at all times.
    2. We do not accept daily rentals.
  3. Weekends:
    1. Weekend rentals are usually from Friday to Sunday (or Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday).
    2. No arrivals or departures are allowed on Saturdays.
  4. Number of persons:
    1. Customers agree to respect the number of persons mentioned in the rental agreement.
    2. Strict monitoring of the number of occupants is applied onsite. A penalty of $150 per night will be deducted from the security deposit for anyone not declared on the rental agreement.
  5. Payment formalities:
    1. A 50% reservation deposit by credit card is required when booking on our website in order to block the dates in the rental calendar and secure your reservation.
    2. The balance payment is due 15 days before your arrival date, either by e-Interac transfer (no fee) or by credit card (4% admin fee).
    3. A reimbursable security deposit of $ 1 000 will be temporarily frozen on your credit card 48hr before your arrival date and released on your credit card within 24hr/48hr of your departure, if no damage is found and the cottage is returned to the same condition as on arrival.
  6. Other applicable fees:
    1. A 4% admin fee applies to payments by credit card.
    2. A bank fee of $ 60 applies for international bank transfers.
  7. Arrival and departure times for Chalet Kabana:
    1. Check-in is after 6pm.
    2. Check-out is at 1pm.
Cottage rules

Please note the cottage rules that apply to all participants:

1. It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the cottage at all times. A penalty of $1000 applies for smoking inside. Smoking outside is allowed;

2. For security reason but also to respect the serenity of the neighborhood and to preserve our sanitary installations, we expect the renters to respect the number of persons specified in the rental agreement at all times.

3. For obvious security reasons, the use of fireworks is strictly forbidden at all times;

4. No excessive sound is allowed outside the cottage or on the deck after 10pm;

5. Outdoor fires are only allowed in the covered firepit;

6. The use of tents, RVs or any other camping installation is strictly forbidden onsite;

7. We are not responsible for any accident in the cottage, in the hot tub, around the cottage or at the river;

8. Any subrental is totally forbidden;

9. Guests are expected to prevent excessive noise after 10pm;

By booking directly on our website or through our different plateforms, you are deemed to have read and agreed to comply with these rules, as well as all the other participants of your group. In case of non respect by the guests of any of those rules, we will not hesitate to retain the whole security deposit.

Chalet Kabana is located on the territory of the Municipality of Sainte-Émelie de l’Energie, in Lanaudière, just 1 hour from Montreal.

Be careful: GPS devices often do not recognize the area and give you wrong directions. So to avoid any inconvenience, we advise you to print the itinerary we provided to you.

In Winter: we advise you to opt for an AWD vehicle (4 wheel drive) or a SUV during the winter months. Make sure your vehicle is equipped with snow tires and that you have Traction-Aid (if needed) with you.
